CATTLE had to be rescued from blazing farm buildings in the early hours today (Friday).
Fire control was called to reports of a range of buildings on fire on the farm in Cannington Road, Nether Stowey, at 5am.
Fire engines were sent from Nether Stowey, two from Bridgwater and one from Taunton, along with an aerial ladder platform and a water carrier from Bridgwater and an incident support unit from Martock.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and rescue Service spokesperson said: "On arrival crews confirmed a range of farm buildings use for cattle and feed storage were involved.
"Crews assisted in moving animals to other buildings and the owner was contacted.
"Crews are using two main jets, 1 hose reel jet, and compressed air foam to extinguish the fire.
"The fire is currently being scaled back to two pumps and updates will follow shortly."
