The NPAS police helicopter
POLICE in Taunton called in a helicopter for assistance in the north Taunton area in the early hours of this morning (Friday).
The National Police Air Service chopper aided officers on the ground during an incident.
Officers were searching for a person for whose welfare they were concerned. Fortunately, the person was found safe.
It was sited in the air for around half an hour from around 3am.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: "The NPAS police helicopter was out assisting us with a welfare concern matter.
"The individual was found safe."
