A RESTAURANT in Taunton's Independent Quarter has announced it is re-opening tomorrow (Wednesday).

Augustus, in The Courtyard, off St James Street, had remained closed when lockdown measures were eased on April 12.

But the decision has now been taken to serve lunches and dinners in the outside terrace.

In a Twitter post, Augustus says: "We are re-opening our outside terrace tomorrow.

"We will be open as normal for lunch and dinner from 12pm and 6pm respectively.

"A menu will follow shortly."

Augustus has operated a takeaway menu during the restrictions.
