WE Buy Any Car has landed a £1,034 court bill after failing to disclose who was driving one of its vehicles.
The company was in court after one of its cars was clocked speeding in the Avon and Somerset force area.
The company, based in Farnham, Surrey, was not represented when its case was heard and was found guity in its absence.
Magistrates slapped an £840 fine on the company and ordered it to pay an £84 victim surcharge along with £110 costs.
AVIS Budget UK Ltd, based in London, has to pay a similar amount for failing to give the identity of a driver caught speeding in Somerset on September 18 last year.
