A POP up mini market of local producers scheduled in Taunton tomorrow (Tuesday) has been cancelled.
The event had been due to take place in the grounds of the Castle Hotel as part of the Somerset Day celebrations.
The hotel had combined with Michelle Beck, who organises Taunton Independent Market for the occasion, sponsored by Queen's College.
Instead of paying a fee, stallholders were asked to make a donation to Love Musgrove, the official charity of Musgrove Park Hospital.
Ms Beck said: "Due to the high winds forecast again tomorrow, we have cancelled our Somerset Day celebrations at the Castle Hotel.
"The weather forecast is looking more promising for the weekend and we are very hopeful that Taunton Independent Market will take place on Sunday (May 16).
Organisers took the decision to call off tomorrow's market due to forecast gusts of over 25mph.
Taunton Independent Market on Castle Green was also cancelled yesterday (Sunday) as a precaution due to adverse weather conditions.
And the eat:Taunton food and drink festival in the town centre was called off on Saturday for the same reason.
