FAMILIES enjoyed a day out at a Taunton church on Saturday (May 8).
Children took part in the Messy Play event to celebrate Pentecost, which was held at Taunton Baptist Church.
Lauren Jewhurst, who organised the event, said the families made wind and fire streamers, flame headbands and pictures using paint and forks.
"We then gathered together to dance along to a worship song and listen to the Pentecost story.
"We learnt about how Jesus sent a Special Helper to be with His disciples after He went back to Heaven, so that they would know He would always be with them and help them do amazing things."
Messy Church is a free event, but pre-booking is essential in order to comply with social distancing guidelines.
The next Messy Play event is on June 12 at 10m.
