A POPULAR Somerset attraction re-opened this week.
Families will once again have the chance to stay at Butlins, as all three resorts - Bognor Regis, Skegness and Minehead - opened their doors on Monday (May 17).
As well as this, each venue now has a new entertainment area called ‘Studio 36’. This is so guests can social distance in this 860-seat indoor venue.
“Our resorts are open and we’re so excited to be welcoming guests back,” said Jon Hendry-Pickup, managing director at Butlins.
“Everybody wants to get back doing what they love and we want our guests to feel safe and happy when coming to holiday with us.
“We have implemented new safety measures to help deliver the best break possible.
“This year is our greatest entertainment lineup ever featuring acts we know our guests will love.
“We’ve lots of new and exclusive shows taking centre stage at our new Studio 36 venue so the question is, what break will you be booking for your family?”
All Butlins venues have added new safety measures, including extra hand sanitising stations and drive-thru check in.
All rides will be sanitised after use and once a guest’s accommodation has been cleaned prior to arrival, a sticker goes on the door to show no one else has entered.
Bars and restaurants will be using the B Serve app allowing guests to order food and drink directly to their tables.
There will also be a range of new shows at Butlins now it has re-opened:
- Sam & Mark
CBBC stars and BAFTA award-winners Sam and Mark will be bringing a new live show for families.
- Dick and Dom
Celebrating 25 years as a duo, Dick and Dom will bring chaos and comedy in a DJ battle.
- Cirque du Hilarious
Clive Webb and Danny Adams will bring international circus acts, clowns, comedians and dancers to the stage.
- Peppa Pig
This is a brand new show for 2021. Peppa will be joining each resort with her little brother George.
- PJ Masks
Three young friends will transform into their dynamic alter egos, Catboy, Owlette and Gekko.
