A DRIVER assaulted a cyclist by 'shaking him' after a collision in Taunton.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the crash between a car and cyclist outside Morrisons Petrol Station, Dellers Wharf, Taunton at around 4pm on Friday, May 7.

After the collision, the driver got out of their car - which was believed to be an Audi - and assaulted the cyclist by shaking him.

The cyclist was uninjured, but his bike was damaged in the crash.

"We are keen to identify the driver," said a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police.
