HONESTLY! It really is and there is scientific research to prove it.

Do you remember getting the giggles when you were younger? Obviously at inappropriate times, but you just can’t control it.

I remember many times getting into trouble when my sister and I would set each other off and attract a stern glare from our mum.

She would always have a twinkle in her eye and you could just tell she wanted to join in.

When you laugh, your body releases endorphins, which strengthens your immune system, boosts mood, diminishes pain, and protects you from the damaging effects of stress.

Nothing works faster or more dependably to bring your mind and body back into balance than a good laugh.

Laughing is literally the cheapest form of therapy and by far the most pleasant one.

It has the power to heal not only your soul, but also your body.

When you wake up in the morning, before you open your eyes, pop a huge smile on your face. Even if you don’t want to smile, just do it. Open your eyes and you will feel better. What a way to start the day.

Laughter has been diminished for many people over the last few months for obvious reasons.

I must admit, I end up laughing most days because of my job booking comedy shows across Somerset.

My funny friends have kept me giggling. I am blessed to have friends who also share my sense of humour and we often laugh until it hurts and happy tears are rolling down our cheeks.

I love laughing and do whatever I can to get my fair share every single day, even if that means watching some funny animal compilation.

I just need it to distract my mind from dwelling on negative things that happen every now and then. And it works every time.

Laughter might be the only contagious thing that you actually want to catch.

So laugh whenever you get the chance, and laugh hard, even when people give you funny looks.

The right kind of person will start laughing too, without even knowing why.

“Always laugh when you can. It is cheap medicine.”- Lord Byron
