A NEW temporary Post Office opened in Peasedown St John last week.

While the Post Office are looking for a permanent solution, a temporary Postmaster will be operating from The Hive Community Centre on Bath Road.

The Peasedown St John Post Office closed in February this year after the postmaster resigned and the premises was withdrawn.

Antoinette Chitty, Post Office network provision lead, said: “We are delighted to have restored a Post Office to Peasedown St John.

"We want to thank The Hive Community Centre for providing space for the pop-up Post Office.

"We fully recognise how much the community rely on having Post Office services and we continue to seek a permanent solution for the people of Peasedown St John.”

The new branch will be open Monday to Friday from 8.30am until 3pm, and Saturday from 9am until 12.30pm.

The new Peasedown St John Post Office offers a wide range of Post Office services including banking, bill payment, postage, home shopping collections and returns.
