TWO businesses in Taunton are teaming up to raise money for charity.

Snap Fitness Gym and Cardstream are joining forces to host the Ride for Mind fundraising challenge.

Staff will aim to complete the 837-mile distance from Land's End to John O'Groats using a spin bike in the Cardstream office.

The team are raising money for Mind in Somerset, who provide support services to anyone affected by mental illness.

Hayley Stallard, partner support manager at Cardstream, said: “Team Cardstream are all hyped up ready for the challenge.

"It’s a great cause, helping people in times of need and encouraging people to talk about their mental health.

"With the gyms being closed over lockdown, it’s been a long time since I was last on an exercise bike, but we’re a determined team and we’ll get there between us!”

CEO Adam Sharpe added: "We're looking forward to raising funds for our Charity of the Year, Mind, in Somerset by taking on as many physical challenges as possible this year."
