A TAUNTON man of no fixed address has been jailed for eight weeks for possession of a Clipper lighter gas bottle in the town's High Street.
George Ian Whyte, 49, pleaded guilty Taunton Magistrates Court to the offence on May 8, which was in breach of a Criminal Behaviour Order.
He was ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge after the court heard he caused distress to people who witnessed it.
There was no separate penalty for another offence of using threatening, abusive words or behaviour.
ASHLEY Nigel Stowell pleaded guilty at Taunton Magistrates' Court to 'unlawfully and maliciously wounding' a person in Taunton on September 21 last year.
Stowell, 27, of Cabots Court, Taunton, was handed a community order with 180 hours community work and ordered to pay his victim £200 compensation.
A GLASTONBURY woman pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer in Keynsham on November 16 last year.
Chantelle Perry, 28, of Turstin Road, was given a community order and made the subject of an eight-week curfew, as well as being ordered to pay her victim £100 compensation.
She received no separate penalty after also admitting damaging store property in Taunton on May 9 last year, for which she was ordered to pay £4 compensation.
JACK Christopher Symes, 24, of Roddenbury Close, Frome, was banned from driving for six months after pleading guilty to driving without insurance on October 23.
He was fined £100 for possession of cannabis, along with a £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
He received no further penalty for driving without the correct licence and another charge of possession of cannabis.
