A CHARITY is hosting a fete this summer to raise much-needed funds.

St Margaret's Hospice Summer Fete is set to include a raffle, barbecue, tombola, stalls, music and children's activities.

This annual fete, which was unable to take place last year due to the pandemic, will be held on Saturday, July 24.

Kara Frampton, area manager of the community partnerships for St Margaret's Hospice, said they are hoping to 'bring the community together' at the event.

"We want everyone to have fun and see what brilliant work the hospice provides helping people across Somerset," she said.

"We had a great time at our 2019 fete, and we would love to see lots of people at this year’s fete. Guaranteed fun for all!”

The event, which will be at St Margaret's Hospice in Heron Drive, Bishop's Hull, is sponsored by Gibbins Richards.

A spokesperson for the estate agent added: "Our estate agency firm have had a long-standing relationship with this highly regarded local charity.

"The fete is another super opportunity for us to get involved with one of the area’s most loved organisations and the work the teams at St Margaret’s do needs nothing but support – both moral and financial. At Gibbins Richards we are proud to provide both.”

The fete is running from 11am until 3pm and tickets cost £2 for adults.

Free parking will be available at Bridgwater and Taunton College, with a free shuttle bus to the hospice.
