POLICE pulled over 11 drivers during a traffic operation in Taunton yesterday (June 13).
Officers from the Taunton Neighbourhood Policing Team were in Blackbrook Way after reports from the public of vehicles driving anti-socially and over the speed limit.
A tweet from the team said: "In the two hours that officers were at the location, we pulled over 11 vehicles for the following; speeding, excessively loud exhausts and illegal number plates."
From those 11 drivers;
- Two drivers were reported to court for speeding
- A driver with an illegal number plate had legal plates in boot of car, so this was re-attached at roadside
- The rest were given strong words of advice regarding their driving manner.
"We will carry out further operations like this across the town, but remember we can only act on what you provide to us via official methods," the social media post added.
It urged members of the public to report concerns via www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/report
