TWO women have been promoted to partner at a popular accountancy firm in Taunton.

Lyndsay Blackshaw and Michelle Ferris were promoted at Albert Goodman last month.

Both women joined as graduates and completed their training in the company.

Michelle has been with Albert Goodman since 2006 and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2008.

She is responsible for the charity and care teams at the firm, specialising in the public sector, not-for-profit and charitable organisations. As well as this, she is a statutory auditor and provides accountancy and audit services as well as advising clients on governance, structures and mergers.

“Having been with Albert Goodman for 15 years, I’m delighted to be taking the next step and becoming a partner," she said.

"The ethos of the firm has always resonated very strongly with me and I look forward to continuing to supply charity and care clients with the service they have come to expect.”

Lyndsay joined in 2011 and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2012.

She works with owner-managed businesses and medical practices from the Yeovil office.

“Having qualified with the firm, and having progressed through the ranks over the last 10 years, it is an honour to be joining the Albert Goodman partnership team," she added.

"I’m excited to continue the good work the firm has done to date and continuing to work closely with clients, colleagues and the wider community.”

Richard Bugler, managing partner at the firm, said he was 'delighted' to welcome Lyndsay and Michelle as partners.

"Lyndsay and Michelle have been exceptional since joining the firm and have both made significant contributions in their respective teams," he said.

"Their promotions highlight their excellence and dedication since joining Albert Goodman.

"The promotions are truly well-deserved.”
