BINGO fans in Taunton can celebrate Christmas six months late.

Mecca Taunton is hosting Junemas on Friday, June 25 to make up for last year's lack of party fun due to Covid restrictions.

People will be able to get into the festive spirit by rocking around the Christmas tree, pulling crackers, singing carols and enjoying plenty of Santa surprises.

And there will be a bingo game in support of children's charity Variety.

Junemas will mark the start of a whole weekend of excitement, with the UK’s first National Bingo Day on Sunday, June 2takes place on Sunday 27th June.

And Christmas could come early for two lucky players, with two guaranteed £50,000 National Game jackpots.

And everyone in the winning club will also win up to £100 each.

Davina Warden, general manager at Mecca Bingo Taunton, said: “We are thrilled to host this special and exciting weekend of events, giving a chance to our customers to catch up on missed moments – Merry Christmas everyone.

"With the entire nation being in lockdown last Christmas, many did not get the chance to celebrate like they normally would, so we are determined to turn that into a nicer memory.

"And with National Bingo Day’s opportunity to win life changing jackpots, we can’t help but imagine what our customer’s next Christmas could look like."

It all goes to show that Christmas can come but twice a year.
