COMPLAINING about the weather is a British pastime but it seems people living in this part of the country have more to moan about than most.
Every summer, the UK can expect everything from unbearable heatwaves to weeks of rain and thunderstorms and everything in between - the weather in the UK certainly keeps everyone guessing.
Trying to make sense of the volatile forecasts, SaveOnEnergy.com decided to investigate which part of the country suffers the most when it comes to unpredictability and topping the list is Somerset West and Taunton.
Collecting historical monthly climate observations from UK Climate Predictions, covering the months of June, July and August, they analysed five climate variables - sunshine hours, rainfall, average temperature, wind speed and relative humidity. Each variable was then ranked and totalled to find a total unpredictability/volatility score out of 10 for each district, with a score of 10 being the most unpredictable and 1 being the most predictable.
