AFTER the weekend that should have seen thousands of people descend on Somerset for the Glastonbury Festival, a nearby nursery celebrated its own event this week.
Youngsters at the Brue Farm Day Nursery, in Castle Cary, took part in their own mini Glastonbury.
Working in their two bubbles - the Rainbow Bubble and the Elephant Bubble - they got to experience a range of attractions and activities to create the festival atmosphere.
“The children had a lovely time face painting, hair braiding, karaoke, yoga, mindfulness colouring, dancing and playing with bubbles, musical instruments and pitching the tents,” said nursery owner, Kath Farthing.
“They all had a festival lunch of hot dogs in buns, homemade coleslaw and fruit ice lollies.
“The weather was typical of Glastonbury Festival - a cloudy start with wonderful sunshine for the remainder of the day.”
