A HOMELESS man ignored an order banning him from sitting on the ground in Taunton town centre five times in a month.
Patrick Brian Arkless, 33, whose address was given to Taunton Magistrates' Court as East Reach, Taunton, was fined a total of £100 and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge.
He was found sitting on the ground in East Street on November 9 and 10 and December 1 and 6 last year, as well as North Street on December 5.
His actions were deemed to be a breach of a community protection order imposed on him under the Anti Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act.
