THE developer behind a major Taunton building project is looking to 'give back' to residents - and wants their helping in deciding how.

Platinum Skies is behind the Quantock House development, in Paul Street, which will see dozens of apartments available to over-55s.

Now, the team is looking for a Taunton-based community cause to support as part of the countdown to the opening of the new independent-living apartment complex.

A spokesperson for Platinum Skies said each low-maintenance home features energy-saving appliances in the kitchens, automatic lighting and step-free showers in the bathrooms, communal gardens, and secure onsite underground parking.

Additional facilities inside the building include a bistro, bar area, homeowners’ lounges, activity room, and treatment room.

Now, to celebrate the first homeowners being able to move into Quantock House towards the end of the year, Platinum Skies is keen to support a local initiative that benefits the wider Taunton community.

Nominations can be made to Community@platinumskies.co.uk with ‘Quantock House Community Project’ in the subject line.

Mike Lyons, operations director of Platinum Skies, said: “We’re keen to give back to the people of Taunton who have given us such a warm welcome as we look to bring the benefits of independent-living to the town, which in turn has proved hugely popular.”
