A MAN who attacked four people, including two on duty police officers, has been handed a six months conditional discharge at Taunton Magistrates' Court.

Connor James Brimblecombe, 23, admitted four charges of assault by beating in Taunton on March 22.

He also pleaded guilty to a further charge of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards two people in the town on the same day.

A FROME man faces a £1,767 court bill after being found guilty of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards three people on the same day.

Andrew Steven Parr was fined £922 and ordered to pay a total of £250 compensation to two of his victims, along with a £95 victim surcharge and £500 costs.

One of the offences was racially aggravated.

Parr, 53, of Rodden Road, Frome, who had denied the three charges, was also handed a community order with 60 hours unpaid work and a restraining order.

He was further given a four-month prison sentence suspended for 12 months for breaching a community order previously imposed for sexually touching a woman aged over 16 who had not consented.

A MAN from the Glastonbury area has been jailed for assault by beating.

Magistrates heard that Andrew Michael Wainwright, 50, of Kennard Moor Drive, Coxbridge, launched the attack in Glastonbury on January 30.

He was sent to prison for six weeks due to the nature of the offence and the fear and anxiety caused to his victim.

Wainwright, who admitted the charge, must pay the victim £128 compensation.

He received no separate penalty after pleading guilty to two charges of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour on the same day and on March 8.
