A WEST Somerset restaurant has announced it will be closed until next Wednesday (August 4) due to Covid.
The Cat's Whisker Kitchen, in Watchet, took the decision to close on Tuesday of last week.
A member of staff is understood to have tested positive for the virus.
In a social media post, the eaterie, in Anchor Street, said it would remain closed until everyone had been tested negative.
The post added: "It is very unfortunate, and we will endeavour to follow all guidance rules set by the government.
"Those who checked in with track and trace will be notified and will hopefully get themselves tested, all others who manually checked in will be notified by ourselves.
"We are sorry for the inconvenience."
The post said: "Thank you for being patient with us. Everyone is fine and on the other side. We look forward to opening next Wednesday 4th August.
Meanwhile lots of fresh pasta, eggy bread and shakukas are being made."
The Cat's Whisker serves a range of tapas and weekly specials.
