TAUNTON posties are at it again, delivering out mail in some fantastic fancy dress outfits.

You may have spotted the Incredible Hulk, The Mad Hatter or a cheerleader pushing your mail through your letterbox.

Staff at the town's Royal Mail sorting office, in Chip Lane, have been dressing up as all sorts of characters all in aid of charity.

They hade already raised more than £8,000 for local good causes during the pandemic ahead of their latest initiative.

Organiser Evette Chapman said: "Everyone at Taunton Royal Mail sorting office would like to thank you for supporting our fancy dress team.

"We have raised over £8,000 so far during the Covid pandemic for local charities in Taunton.

"We have enjoyed the positive feedback that we get from our customers and the joy and smiles it brings to people and want to carry this on.

"We put it out to the public to see who they would like us to raise money for this time round and St Margaret's Hospice had the most votes.

"St Margaret's are very grateful to everyone that voted for them and are over the moon.

"They do such a wonderful job caring for people.

"Let's show them how much we appreciate what they do by donating a little something."

The team hopes to raise at least £1,500 for the hospice.
