A NO-AUDITION choir is launching in Taunton, and it will be led by an experienced composer and conductor.
The first session of the new Taunton Good Afternoon Choir will be held on Tuesday, August 31 from 2pm until 4pm at Temple Methodist Church.
The choir will be led by Chris Grabham, a composer and conductor from Ilminster.
He has conducted a number of choirs, orchestras and bands throughout the south west and is the Director of Music of Wiveliscombe Town Band and Deputy Music Director of the Taunton Deane Male Voice Choir.
Good Afternoon Choirs was founded 12 years ago by Grenville Jones, who is based in Bath.
The Taunton choir is one of eight Good Afternoon Choirs that will launch this autumn.
Jones said: "Come along and meet the Taunton Good Afternoon Choir on a Tuesday afternoon from 2pm at Temple Methodist Church. There’s no charge for attending the first rehearsal and bring a friend.
"Choirs are great for meeting new friends and enjoying the best hobby in the world."
