OH well done Highways.

The new junction below Yallands Hill at Creech that took four months to build seems to me tailor made for high-speed crashes.

Instead of a roundabout - of which there are already a plenitude around Creech - long queues of motorists are now met by a T junction onto a straight stretch of road, cleverly partly hidden by a rise from the right.

When the schools go back, what’s the betting there’ll be not just long queues but more than the odd collision?

This triumph comes hard on the re-opening of the £25 million junction 25 “improvements”

Coming from North Curry as I do, the queues back through Henlade still often stretch back to the old Nags Head near Thornfalcon.

So that didn’t work out too well did it?
