A TAUNTON antiques warehouse received some celebrity visitors last week.

Pop star and actor Martin Kemp was taken to Selwood Antiques, in Mary Street, by expert Margie Cooper.

While surely looking for some 'gold' among the vast store, Mr Kemp was taking part in filming for an episode of the BBC show, Celebrity Antiques Road Trip.

"Eagle-eyed Gazette readers may have spotted last Thursday Martin Kemp, along with Margie Cooper, arriving with film crew," said a Selwoods spokesperson.

"Filming took over two hours in our four-storey antique furniture warehouse."

It's not the first time in recent times that the Kemp family and antiques have been linked in Somerset.

A Jaguar car formerly owned by Martin's brother, Gary Kemp, was recently sold at auction in the county.

The 2002 Jaguar XK8 coupe, formerly owned by the Spandau Ballet star, sold for £7,000.
