A GROUP of young people have been warned they will be "dealt with appropriately" after a PCSO broke up a bout of anti social behaviour in a Taunton park.
PCSO Peter Coakes caught the youngsters misbehaving in the rear grounds of the COACH sports facility and café area in French Weir Park.
Rubbish had been strewn around; a large bin thrown in the river; three tyres chucked in the water; and a lifebuoy ring tied around a tree to make a rope swing.
PCSO Coakes came across the incident while on bicycle patrol yesterday (Tuesday).
A social media post by Taunton Neighbourhood Policing said: "How disappointing to find a group of young people causing antisocial behaviour.
"Thankfully the items were all replaced to their original state and the life-saving ring returned so it is available if it needs to be used for its rightful purpose.
"PCSO Pete caught the individuals in the act, and they will be dealt with accordingly.
"An excellent piece of work by PCSO Pete, and highlights the importance of high visibility patrol."
