MEMBERS of Somerset Chamber of Commerce enjoyed a financial breakfast last Wednesday (September 8).
They caught up with the Bank of England’s South West representative at the Somerset County Cricket Ground in Taunton.
They heard about the banks assessment of the last 12 months and the factors that are likely to effect business performance for the future.
Alistair Tudor, operations manager of Somerset Chamber of Commerce, said: “We have to say a huge thank you to Malindi Myers of the Bank of England for her presentation this morning.
“The partnership we have with the Bank to provide this feedback and insights to our members is invaluable, supporting decision making on recruitment, investment and many more longer term issues that are so critical for business success.”
Guests also had an insight into employment, inflation and interest rates, nearly 50 people were able to hear how Covid-19 has effected the UK and global economy, as well as hear predictions on supply issues that are effecting so many sectors at the moment.
