CHRISTMAS is still 100 days away, but some Somerset supermarkets and shops are nearly ready for the festivities already.

Lidl on Castle Street, Taunton, has a display containing mince pies, stollen bites, lebkuchen hearts and even mulled wine.

Somerset County Gazette:

Sainsbury's Hankridge Farm superstore is also stocking some September Christmas goodies, including Christmas puddings, panettone and mincemeat puffs.

Somerset County Gazette:

Elsewhere, Monkton Elm Garden & Pet Centre's impressive Christmas display is in place, with more to come over the coming weeks to give the shop a Christmassy "wow factor".

A sign in the Monkton Heathfield centre says: "Christmas stock already? Really?!

Somerset County Gazette:

"Our Christmas team is small and the amazing displays they create take a number of weeks to construct.

"By the time November arrives and everyone is ready to shop for Christmas, this area will be full of 'wow factor!'"

Somerset County Gazette:

With Christmas 100 days away, we want to see any Christmas displays that are already proudly in place in Somerset and hear your views about the holiday's tendency to 'come earlier every year'.

Have you spotted any grand Christmas displays around the county, and what do you think of them?

Or perhaps you run a local store, and your Christmas stock is already on the shelves?
