ACCELERATE Trampoline Club welcomed its 100th member earlier this week.

Congratulations to Olivia Hobbs from Wellington, who became the all important 100th member after joining the clubs home education classes at Wellington Sports Centre.

The Somerset based trampoline club started their first classes at Wadham school in Crewkerne at the end of May.

In just over three months, the club has grown considerably and is now operating sessions from Wellington Sports Centre and Blackbrook Leisure Centre as well.

The club has already expanded all sites to include more hours and extra trampolines to accommodate the influx of eager bouncers coming to the club, and it continues to grow and develop.

For head coach Jacob Turner, this not-for-profit club is a dream.

“I am so happy with the response; it shows how big the demand for trampolining is in the area and I am immensely proud that we have brought the sport to a hundred new children," Turner said.

"I want to thank everyone who has worked so hard to make the club such a success, we are now busy building our volunteer base from new members to support the club developing into the future.”

Jacob is now working with his coaching team to start up the Accelerate competition squad who will start their first set of competitions in February.
