First team manager Rob Dray said they had no choice but to postpone the match due to players and staff from Taunton Townย worried about fuel issues.

"We have a duty of care to our players and staff and with some of them not able to get fuel it was too much of a risk to play," Dray said.

"We also were worried about or fans getting to the match."

"It is a shame really because we are coming off a great win on the weekend and were looking forward to the match."

Yate Town have said on Twitter they were ready and prepared to travel for the match.

Taunton have an away game at Hartley Wintney on Saturday that they will now focus on being ready to travel for.
