The Bridge, in former Company Spaces building in Taunton, to open this weekend

The Bridge community coffee shop, in what used to be Company Spaces (2 Bridge Street), is opening from 3pm until 7pm with tastings and live music.

It will be open from Monday - Saturday, from 8.30am until 5.30pm.

Manager, Ian Howlett, says The Bridge will help to build a 'bridge between communities' who can chat together with coffee and cake.

"For a number of years I’ve wanted to open a community coffee shop that sells excellent cake, quality coffee and a space for the community to belong and be a listening ear," he said.

"We’re not in this to make lots of money but here to serve the people of Taunton following this tough 18 months.

"Over the next few months we’ll have lots of different events as well as opening the coffee shop from Monday to Saturday.

"I’d like to extend a warm invitation to everyone to come to the launch day and pop in to say hello over the next few weeks."
