The Times has just revealed its top 100 hotels in the UK along with its national winner.

The list ranks hotels from across the country from the Scottish Highlands to luxury escapes on the Cornwall coast.

Two Somerset hotels have been recognised in this year's rankings.

Here are the hotels that made the cut and all the important information about how to book an amazing night away there.

Farmyard at the Newt

The Farmyard is The Times' Southwest regional winner and we can see why.

This collection of 18th century barns and farm outhouses are situated in the most scenic setting of 800 acres of cider orchards, just outside Bruton.

It is in good company with a fellow Newt hotel - Hadspen House - winning the newcomer of the year award back in 2019.

This marks the latest award for the Newt with the hotel ranking in the top three of the Condé Nast Traveller's Reader's Choice awards earlier this week.

Where: The Newt, A359, Hadspen, Bruton, BA7 1NG

How to book: Book a night away at the Farmyard at the Newt via Tripadvisor.

The Queens Arms

We cannot wait to book a luxury country escape to The Queens Arms as soon as possible.

With a Michelin-starred restaurant and a cosy feel, a stay at The Queens Arms is the perfect way to get away from the bustle of our day to day lives.

The ten-bedroom Georgian inn is situated in the rolling hills between Devon and Somerset in the Chew Valley.

Where: On The Somerset/Dorset Border, Corton Denham DT9 4LR England

How to book: Book a night away at the The Queens Arms via Tripadvisor.
