THE date has been set for a popular 10k road race near Cockermouth which raises funds for the village school.
Brigham 10k will take place on March 20. All money raised will be donated to Friends of St Bridget's to buy equipment for the school.
The undulating race, which sets off from the Social Club, off Low Road, was last run in 2019.
A spokesman said: "Our lovely community race is finally back.
"The course is still ‘undulating’ and you’ll still be wonderfully supported along the route.
"All to provide equipment for the school. Booking is open."
Records were smashed at the 2019 race, the fourth one held.
Cockermouth’s Chris Steele was knocked from the top male spot by Leeds visitor Adrian Holliday, of Leeds City AC. Nadia Shaw of Cumberland AC set a new time in the ladies’ race, beating her own previous record.
The race was a sell-out and the soaring temperatures on Easter Sunday only added to the atmosphere as villagers turned out to cheer on the runners raising money for their local school.
Some spectators even turned out with water pistols to cool down any runners who fancied an icy blast.
There is a limit of 250, to book, go to the race Facebook page.
