TAUNTON Rotary Club has arranged a charity musical evening to pay tribute to all those who have 'served'.
The event will remember the casualties of both world wars and, after the suffering of the pandemic, those who have died, while celebrating the selfless efforts of people on the front line - key workers, NHS staff and scientists who have come together to produce life-saving vaccines and many unsung heroes.
The concert will take place at Temple Methodist Church in Upper High Street, Taunton, on Saturday, November 6, at 7pm.
Local talent being showcased includes Taunton Deane Male Voice Choir, West Somerset Brass Band, Eight to the bar ladies octet, Luis Martelo and his band and organist John Bodiley.
The programme will conclude with a short Act of Remembrance involving armed forces veterans and members of local uniformed youth organisations.
The large venue enables the reassurance of social distancing for an audience of over 200.
Anyone who would like to join in this entertaining evening of reflective but also uplifting celebratory music can obtain tickets via Tauntonrotary@outlook.com or Eventbrite Tribute Tickets
All proceeds will go to support The League of Friends of Musgrove Park Hospital, The Conquest Centre and the Taunton branch of the Royal British Legion.
