A POPULAR Christmas fair is set to return this year - but this time with new organisers.

The Rural Living Show, at Kings Hall School in Taunton, will be held on November 27 and 28 2021.

New organisers Millie Taylor and Becci McErlain, both from Burnham-on-Sea, are keen to 'uphold the family and community ethos' of this popular event.

They will work closely with founder Louise Walker, who started the show and fair back in 1993.

“Taking over an established, longstanding event was a fantastic opportunity for us," said Becci.

"We believe wholeheartedly in the talent and craftsmanship of our local businesses, many of whom have faced a very challenging couple of years.

"We will be proud to continue to raise money for the wonderful Children’s Hospice South West as they celebrate their 30th anniversary this year.”

There will be a huge variety of stalls, including crafts, homeware, fashion, textiles, art, design, beauty and more. As well as the traditional food and drink section.

"So much has changed over the last couple of years, and as we open up again safely, we really are looking forward to seeing everyone in person at last," said Millie.

This year, there will also be demonstrators and interactive stands including Pom Stitch Tassel who will be running craft workshops.

Emma, of Pom Stitch Tassel, added: "I pride myself on my no hassle and affordable workshops, with the idea of bringing old crafts back to life and inspiring the next generation of creatives.

"I really love working with events that share a similar ethos to us.”

The show will be open from 10am until 5pm on Saturday, November 27, and from 10am until 4pm on Sunday, November 28.

Entry to the show will be £4, with free onsite parking.

Visitors can also enter a competition with the chance of winning £100 to spend at the show.
