TAUNTON Town will make the trip up the M5 to face Yate Town this weekend in the Pitching In Southern League.

After sitting out the Southern League Cup game on Tuesday due to suspension, Gethyn Hill is set to return to the side.

"The Tuesday fixture allowed Gethyn to sit out for suspension, he will return to the team for the Yate match," manager Rob Dray said.

As well as Hill returning, you can expect to see Joe Guest and Toby Holmes back in the squad.

"We still have a few lads who are out with injuries but Toby Holmes and Lee Judges should be back, we will see."

In terms of the opponent, Yate Town are in tenth place in the league table, one position lower than Taunton.

The club enjoyed a good FA Cup run where they reached the First Round Proper, losing to Yeovil Town 5-0.

Rob Dray expects the match to be another tough game.

"They are a good side who play quality football on their day and they have a good togetherness thanks to their cup run."

"We know how a cup run can galvanise the squad so we will need to be at our best on Saturday," Dray said.

Taunton played some quality football in the League Cup win on Tuesday night against Truro and will look to take that into this fixtures against Yate.

"We played well on Tuesday night, albeit against a weakened Truro side, however we were happy with the performance," Dray said.

"We will look to take the same intensity into the Yate game as I have said before, 16/17 teams can beat anyone in this league, so we will have to be at our best."
