A GROUP of Somerset students are aiming to play hockey for 24 HOURS to raise money for charity in memory of one of their teachers.

A teacher at Bruton School for Girls passed away last year after being diagnosed with CJD (Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease).

Now, a group of youngsters wants to do their bit to help find a cure for the neurodegenerative condition by playing hockey for a whole day.

As part of the 'hockathon', food will be available from the Hidden Pizza van from 6pm, with music from Blondie and Ska from 7pm.

Fireworks will end the night at 8.30pm.

People are being invited along to show their support between 5pm and 8.30pm. Entry costs £1.

Fund raised will be donated to the Cure CJD Campaign. For more information, log on to www.curecjd.org.
