TAUNTON was turned into a winter wonderland on Sunday (November 21) for a day of festive fun - and the big Christmas lights switch-on.
Thousands were in town throughout the day enjoying a range of activities, including fairground rides, music, stalls, food and more.
Getting underway at 10am, the day culminated in the lights being switched on by Taunton's Paralympic hero, Hannah Taunton, fresh from her bronze medal win in Tokyo, and Miss Junior Sensational UK, Mia Sienna Jarrold.
Before the switch-on, athlete Hannah said: "I am feeling very excited about switching the Taunton Christmas lights on. I am very proud and pleased to be asked to do this."
And her medal reflected the lights brilliantly.
Mayor of Taunton, Sue Lees, was also in attendance, with fellow councillor, John Hunt, doing the honours on the microphone.
