SOMERSET'S favourite band - The Wurzels - have announced a home-county show next month.
The band, famed for anthems such as The Combine Harvester and I Am A Cider Drinker, will bring their celebration of all things Scrumpy n’ Western to Westlands, Yeovil, on December 2.
Signed to label heavyweights Columbia and EMI, The Wurzels continue to play hundreds of sell-out shows and festivals each year.
Their quintessentially West Country cover of Kaiser Chiefs’ Ruby has been a massive show favourite of late, as well as hip-hop versions of the ubiquitous originals.
The band is made up of Tommy Banner, Pete Budd, John Morgan and Sedge Moore, who together released a long list of albums over the years, including Greatest Hits, Christmas records and live LPs.
Tickets for the Westlands concert, which gets underway at 8pm, cost from £21 and are available via www.westlandsyeovil.co.uk.
