A CAR dealership group is helping those in need this Christmas with a special initiative.

Eden, which represent seven brands across the South and South West, will be dressing up its dealerships as gift boxes and giving something back to the community between November 25 and 27.

Showrooms will be wrapped up like a Christmas present, while Eden colleagues will be giving their VIP customers and guests a taste of Christmas spirit, alongside exclusive offers wrapped up and presented to offer unbeatable new car deals.

But more than that, everyone attending the dealership during the promotion period and up until Christmas will be asked to bring in an unwrapped toy to place under the Eden Christmas Tree, which will then be presented to local hospices that provide support and care to children who are sick or suffering from life-limiting and terminal illnesses over the festive period.

It’s part of Eden’s ethos to be a socially responsible and caring business, led from the front by its CEO Graeme Potts, who is a keen supporter of community welfare.

“At a time when we think of joy and festivities, we cannot forget that throughout the Eden Motor Group markets there are many children suffering with life limiting or terminal illnesses,” said Graeme.

“We want to make sure that those children have something they can open on Christmas Day, and to bring a little light to them and make them smile for a short moment."

Eden Motor Group is one of the biggest automotive industry supporters of charities in the region.

So far this year, it has raised more than £18,000 for MacMillan Cancer Support through its coffee mornings initiative and £6,000 for Sophie’s Fund and Alice’s Arc in Fareham thanks to a charity football game.

The group also sponsors children’s sports teams across the South West, in towns such as Exeter, Torbay and Reading.

The group represents seven brands across Hampshire, Dorset, Surrey, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Buckinghamshire, Worcestershire, Somerset, Devon and Warwickshire.
