TWO lorries and a car crashed on a main road in Somerset yesterday morning (November 24).
Fire crews from Shepton Mallet and Wells were sent to the incident on the A37 near Gurney Slade.
Three fire engines and a heavy rescue unit was sent to the scene around 5.45am.
One person was trapped in the car when fire crews arrived.
"On arrival crews confirmed this collision involved two lorries and one car, with one person trapped in the car," said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
"Crews used cutting equipment to remove the car door and the driver was able to walk out under the guidance of paramedics on scene.
"All three vehicles were made safe and the incident was left in the hands of the police."
