WELLINGTON based trampolinist Charlotte Vickery, who competed in the National league trampoline competition in Cardiff this weekend.

Charlotte competed for Accelerate Trampoline Club in its very first competition since starting its first classes in June of this year.

After gaining a place in the finals with personal best scores on both her routines, Charlotte came 5th overall out of 14 finalists from all over the country.

This competition marks the return to competitive trampolining for many young people and head coach Jacob Turner is thrilled to be a part of it.

“This is the clubs very first competition and I am feeling immensely proud. Charlotte kept her calm and focus and performed so well under the pressure.

"I would like to thank her coach Mille and our volunteer Judge Kim, I am now looking forward to the next one.”

Charlotte recently moved to Accelerate and chose the new club to begin her return to competing nationally.

She has been training hard on Thursdays and Saturdays with personal coach Millie Stewart at Blackbrook Leisure Centre in Taunton.

The clubs head coach Jacob Turner is now preparing to increase the competition squad for the British Gymnastics Regional competition season starting in February.

The club now has over 150 members, and most classes are now full.

From January, they will be adding another two trampolines to the Crewkerne venue and extending bouncing hours at Wellington and Blackbrook, Taunton to allow more young people to experience this exciting sport.
