POLICE are investigating to see whether a flasher who exposed himself in Minehead has previously performed acts of public indecency in the town.

Officers received a report of an unknown man exposing himself in the Bircham Road area last Monday (November 22) at about 4.15pm.

The culprit is described as of mixed race, about 5ft 7ins tall, slim and with short black hair.

He did not have any facial hair and was thought to be in his late-20s or early-30s.

He was wearing a black leather jacket, black top, black jeans and black boots at the time of the incident.

The Minehead and West Somerset Neighbourhood Policing team is aware of the incident and will be conducting extra high-visibility reassurance patrols.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: "We’re keen to hear from any witnesses, people who may have footage showing the area that day, or other victims who may have experienced something similar in Minehead and not reported it to the police.

"Anyone who can help our enquiries should call 101 and give reference number 5221276791."
