POLICE from two forces worked together today (Monday, November 29) to check on a local hunt.
A number of officers from Wincanton Neighbourhood Policing Team combined with their counterparts from Dorset Police.
A spokesperson for South Somerset Neighbourhood Policing said the operation was carried out to reassure the community in the Wincanton area and also "to prevent crime".
A Tweet from South Somerset Neighbourhood Policing said: "Today Wincanton NPT and Dorset Police have been working together to police a local hunt.
"The main purpose of this is to engage with all parties, reassure the rural community and to prevent crime."
