A FESTIVE intruder has been caught on camera sneaking into Clarks Village ahead of the launch of the outlet village's elf hunt.

Families have been invited by Clarks Village, Street, to try and find the scout elf, one of Father Christmas's helpers.

The village's elf hunt launched yesterday (Tuesday, December 1) and will be available throughout the month of December.

Clarks Village has reported the elf has been tasked with keeping an eye on guests to find out who's been naughty or nice - but he seems to be getting up to mischief.

A spokesperson for Clarks Village said: "When we arrived at the outlet on December 1, we were stunned to find one of Santa’s infamous scout elves had moved in overnight.

"We’re incredibly excited at his arrival and have launched the Clarks Village elf hunt, inviting guests to seek out his hiding spots.

"So far, the elf has stayed true to his reputation of causing a bit of havoc so we’ll make sure we keep an eye on him during his stay."

The outlet village is encouraging elf hunters to take selfies at his hiding spots and share them on social media with the hashtag #CVElf.

Clarks Village will also host seasonal entertainment from local community groups on selected dates and a Christmas market.
