FIRE crews rescued a sheep from a hole this morning (December 12).
Firefighters from Shepton Mallet attended the incident in a field north east of Shepton Mallet, near Doulting.
They went to rescue the sheep around 11.30am, after it became stuck in a hole that had appeared in the field.
"Crews managed to rescue the sheep using a gas monitor, short extension ladder, shovels and spades," said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
