A CLUBBER needed hospital treatment after a bottle was smashed over his head.

The victim was treated for facial and head injuries following the early hours attack in Bridgwater earlier this month.

Police have issued CCTV images of two men they wish to identify in connection with the incident at around 1am on Saturday, December 4

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said the assault occurred after a disorder broke out inside the Palace nightclub in Penel Orlieu.

"During this incident a 25-year-old man was assaulted, which included a bottle being smashed over his head," added the force spokesperson.

"He suffered facial and head injuries, which required hospital treatment."

Police have issued pictures and descriptions of the two men, who they believe are able to help with the investigation.

One of the men officers want to identify is described as white, about 6ft tall and in his early twenties.

He is of medium build and with short brown hair.

In the image he can be seen wearing a dark shirt-sleeved T-shirt and jeans.

The second man is also white, approximately 6ft tall and in early twenties.

He was clean shaven and had short black hair.

In the CCTV image he was wearing a white hooded top with a coloured motif, a dark sleeveless gilet and dark jeans.
