FOR people in Somerset planning to see the New Year in outdoors or indoors with the windows open to avoid the risk of Covid, there's good news.
The Met Office is forecasting unusually mild weather for the county for the time of year as we move into 2022.
And it's also likely to be rain-free.
We are currently experiencing "exceptionally mild weather" for the time of year, although we can expect temperatures to drop back closer to average next week.
There's probably going to be some rain over tomorrow (Thursday) and it will be quite breezy.
Friday (December 31) and Saturday (January 1) will be largely dry and mild, although we might get some rain on New Year's Day, when winds are likely to increase.
