BRISTOL Energy has reassured its customers after media reports on Together Energy reportedly facing collapse within weeks.
Together Energy could run out of money later this month without an emergency capital injection, Sky News reported on January 5.
The firm, which serves customers across the UK and the South West, bought council-backed Bristol Energy in September 2020.
Bristol Energy is now saying to its customers that their energy accounts are “safe” and the company is “stable”.
A message on the firm’s website reads: “We want to reassure all our customers that your energy account is safe with us at Bristol Energy.
“There is a lot of media and press speculation surrounding the current challenges in the UK energy market just now, but Bristol Energy is stable.
“We are very much operating business as usual and there's no need to be concerned. There is no risk to your supply or payments and our dedicated team is here to help when needed.”
The County Gazette contacted Together Energy, but a spokesperson for the company said they “have no comment to make”.
